What about font versions and updates?
We have 3 versions for our typefaces: alpha, beta and releases. Alpha and Beta fonts are work in progress families. They are available for testing and for us to get early feedback. If you fall in love with one or more of our in-progress fonts: let us know, we can add you to our tester’s list. Releases are ready to use font families. Releases get updates to fix issues, add features or additional languages support.
What payment methods do you accept?
The payment is provided and secured by Stripe and provides the following payment methods:
Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and UnionPay (China)
Services: PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
We provide wire transfer payment options upon request and for orders over 400€.
What are the steps to purchase a license?
Here is a drill down of what to consider purchasing a license:
The Cart:
Select the size of the organisation: yours or the organisation you are purchasing the license for
Select the styles you want to purchase
Add this to the cart
Proceed to Checkout (discount a coupon code at this step, if you have one)
The Checkout in 5 steps:
Contact information (Name + Email)
Billing information (who is paying for the license)
Licensee information: if you're purchasing a license for you, leave the checkbox ticked. If you purchase a license on behalf of another organisation (your client for instance), uncheck the option and fill out the Licensee form
Payment information: your secured payment details
Agree to Marmite Defontes license terms and Confirm purchase: you send out the form and follow potential payment security requests
You're done! You will receive a confirmation email with a download link as well as the recap for your order and a link to the related invoice.
Do you provide student licenses?
We do not. However, students have access for their school work to fully functional trial fonts.
How do I access my account, previous order(s) and font updates?
To access your account with your orders, downloads and invoices: use the “Customer login” at the bottom of each page. Simply provide the email you used to make a purchase with us and you'll receive a link to connect to your account. If you bump into a problem, reach out to us through the contact page.
What is a license extension?
A license extension is an add-on to the standard license where we define the terms for a specific use you need for our font software.
Some examples of license extension use cases:
You want to use our fonts server side to dynamically output assets
You need to broadcast worldwide to a large audience
You have multiple website domains to cover, but some are externally owned

What’s up with devices, desktop or laptop computer, websites, users, traffic?
Our license covers all of this. You have a license from us for your organisation, then you can:
Install the font files on all the devices owned by your organisation
Use the fonts on any websites whose domain/subdomains is owned by your organisation (public or private)
No limit of visitors or page views
Embed fhe fonts in your publications, app, software or video game (read the full license for details)
When to purchase a license for my client?
You can purchase licenses on behalf of other people and organisations. For instance – as a freelance or studio or agency – you can detail the licensee information during the checkout process. You can work with your own license at first and purchase the appropriate license for your client right before everything goes live (publication hits the shelves, website is published, app is in the stores…). Do not hesitate to get in touch if you have specific cases in mind.
Are you doing custom fonts?
We will at some point, but right now we are focusing on retail fonts. What we can do is customising a font from our retail catalogue to suit your project needs : font naming, custom or additional characters/glyphs, etc.
